Diane Wood, M.A., Ed.D.(abd) - Instructor
Diane is Virginia and New York Certified as a School District Superintendent; K-12 Principal; and Elementary Teacher. Her B.A. and M.A. are in Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology. Diane has an Ed.D.(abd) in Educational Leadership from Boston University. She has completed the Gifted Education Leadership Program developed by The College of William and Mary.
Ms. Wood has been a School District Director of Preschool-Grade 12 Gifted Education, Reading Programs, and Special Education. She presented workshops on Family-Based Gifted Programs at National Conferences of The National Association of Gifted Children as well as The National Association of School District Administrators. Diane has also published her book, ”Maneuvering Through the School Improvement Maze”.
Most importantly, Ms. Wood has experienced the joys and challenges of raising a highly intellectually gifted son. She took charge of her child's education in order to insure that he was academically stimulated from birth through university. Diane is passionate about sharing these hard learned skills with new parents!!

Mark Wood, M.S. - Student Technology Development
Diane's brother, Mark, holds a B.S. in Science and an M.S. in Special Education from the University of Vermont as well as an A.S. in Computer Technology. After many years teaching math and science, Mark became an Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont, where he taught Assistive Technology in the Department of Education. Mr. Wood also developed individualized educational computer programs and technology for the Vermont Department of Education.
Mark built and flies his own plane. He builds and markets his innovative technology.
